Over the last week we have had quite a few snow showers. Today we woke up to snow covering the ground and car, though it melted fairly quickly. It feels like we had the shortest fall ever, and we are full blown into winter. I miss fall!! On another note, Christmas is right around the corner and I have officially started the Christmas shopping. The kids are making their lists and I have ideas in my head, but every year it gets harder and harder to think of Christmas gifts. This year we are looking forward to many festivities with the church. This will be our first candle light service for Christmas and we have a couple Christmas programs along with a special Thanksgiving service. Busy busy busy.
My class started and so far I am doing well. This is the second week in, and I have 4 more weeks till Christmas break!! Weehoo!!
The kids are all doing fine. Tyler was diagnosed with ADD a few weeks ago. It was not a surprise since I have contemplated that something was wrong for a few years. He is currently taking medication to help and we are working on a new disciplining tactic. It's called 123 Magic, and in the last few days I can definitely see a difference. Jeff and I had a talk last night, and decided from here on out spanking and yelling are no longer going to be used in this house. It doesn't work and I am finding myself worn out and aggravated with discipline that leaves me drained. This method is used by quite a few friends, and many teachers use this in their curriculum. So far so good. :)

Where I have been
It's hard to believe my month off of school has come to an end. Monday I am back to the grind with another 6 week 4credit course, which means busy busy busy. I also just scheduled two classes and I am preparing for my placement test. I need to get a math in so hopefully I will have that class this semester as well. We shall see.
The kids are all doing great. We had a visit from Grandma and Grandpap Steinbach a couple weeks ago, and the past weekend we went home for quickie visit. The entire month of October was jam packed with activities every weekend, and this weekend...we are chillin'. I want to desperately clear out the kids rooms and mine. We are busting out the seams with toys, and hopefully soon Jeff will be able to start work on the attic for our toy/play area. We have hopes of putting a tv, futon (since a couch won't make the turn up the stairs), a table and chair area for games/coloring/etc. It will be very nice once it is done.
First we need to finish the mudd room and the kitchen, so the plan is on to finish it. Other than that, nothing too much here.
Needless to say, I was not happy about the election. There are quite a few thoughts running through my head, and I hope and pray they are all wrong. All I can do now is pray for our future president and hope that things work out for the best. I won't go into the whole end of times deal, but I will say this is one president I can definitely see fulfilling the biblical prophecies. We will definitely know if things start happening as foretold. Very interesting.
Well I better get motivated and run the vacuum, make some dinner, and get off this computer.
By the way I will post some new pictures of the kids at Halloween and post all about it this week.

Knitting
So I decided to pick up a knitting starter kit at Wal-mart and I made my first started row...lol. We'll see. It is relaxing, so hopefully I will understand the rest of the book so I can make something. :)
Forgive me, I am in a weird domestic type mood. lol

Sickies
Well it started out that Logan became sick early Saturday morning. He woke up with a headache which turned into 24+hours of the stomach flu. Sunday everyone was healthy, but we skipped church because a few hours before Logan still was vomiting. Today Preslee stayed in bed till 10am, which is not normal. When she finally came down she looked miserable and I could tell she was sick. As I was getting Preslee dressed, she started gagging which meant a quick trip to the bathroom where she just made it. Poor thing is running a temp of 101.8. I gave her medicine, some goldfish crackers and water. She is now watching Lazy Town on the couch. She will probably miss school tomorrow, but we'll see how she feels a little later.
